New ward for Spanish Town Hospital
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica—The Spanish Town Hospital will on Saturday December 7, receive a new ward to help with the overcrowding challenge in the facility’s Accident and Emergency Unit.
According to Food for the Poor (FFP), the 30-bed ward was constructed in partnership with the local donors, the Kind Hearts – Richard and Diana Stewart Foundation.
FFP said that its relationship with the Foundation dates back to 2012. Since then, the organisation said that Kind Hearts Foundation has built seven basic school/infant department buildings across the island.
The building at Spanish Town Hospital is its first healthcare project in collaboration with FFP.
