Second serving of Bruncholics
ALL-INCLUSIVE party series, Bruncholics is scheduled for Police Officers’ Club on Hope Road in St Andrew, on Sunday. The event, now in its second staging, is slated for a 4:00 pm start.
“It will start at 4:00 pm and end at 11:00 pm, as persons are very weary about coming out in ‘hot-hot’ sun. So patrons can come out when the sun is a bit cooler. It is still a brunch with a little extension,” said Billy Zee Clarke, co-promoter of Bruncholics.
“On entry, patrons will be given a complimentary glass of mimosa or rum punch to break the ice, so to speak,” he said.
The ‘brunch’ will boast some of the hottest disc jockeys in the island, including DJ Nicco, ZJ Chrome, Coppershot, and DJ Mindless, a student of the University of the West Indies.
According to Clarke, patrons are encouraged to bring items of clothing for donation to a charity.
“We will selecting the charity after the event. It’s all about the Christmas spirit and giving back to the less fortunate and needy,” he said.
Bruncholics was first held on July 7, 2019 and several celebrites and professional athletes were in attendance, including Jesse Royal, Leon Bailey, Kingsley Coman, Lila Ike, Naomi Cowan, and former national footballer-cum-coach Ricardo “Bibi” Gardener.
Clarke said for this staging, he has fine-tuned and tweaked the formula.
“It was a learning experience in terms of production and setting up a venue; we learnt a lot,” he said.
“This turn out will be much better, the venue is now properly proportioned in terms of when you come in, it’s all streamline, so the bar positioned that you don’t have to look far,” he said.
