Coopers Pen, Holland through to Trelawny FA Knockout semis
SAMUEL PROSPECT, Trelawny — Presidents Cup champions Coopers Pen FC and Holland United booked their spots in the semi-finals of the Trelawny Football Association/Victor Wright Knock-out after quarter-final wins over RG Strikers and Prospect Links, respectively.
They join Harmony FC in the last four while they await the winners of the other quarter-final game between Salt Marsh United and defending champions Falmouth United, the latter getting a firstround bye.
On Thursday, Coopers Pen edged RG Strikers (formerly Wakefield United) 1-0, while on Friday, Holland United beat Prospect Links FC 2-0.
On Thursday, Hugh-George Watson scored in the second half for Coopers Pen, who will be playing in the Western Confederation Super League this season after winning the Major League last season.
Cristojaye Daley in the 55th minute and Tusaine Burgess in the 60th minute scored for Holland United as they made progress to the last four after being eliminated at this stage last season.
