KFC and Pepsi bring joy to mother of 2 this Christmas

“Thank you Jesus!, Thank you KFC and Pepsi!” These were the consistent words of Miss M Dacosta who received a life-changing phone call from Pepsi JamaICAN Ambassador Ding Dong on November 30th.

This BUZZ worthy occasion was the culmination of the Pepsi and KFC Bucket Deal promotion which gave customers who bought buckets between the October Heroes weekend and November 21 a chance to win $1 million dollars.

Fast forward to last Wednesday, KFC and Pepsi executives welcomed her to the Pepsi Headquarters to hand over the much-anticipated cheque. Beaming with JamICAN pride, the winner came forward with her whole family to claim her prize.

Marcella Dacosta, a mother of two boys and the operator of a corner shop, travelled from her hometown in St Mary to realize her dream of being able to continue her son’s university education. A prayer answered just in time for Christmas, was celebrated by all parties on location.

See more highlights below:

“Mommy is my everything” the words of a delighted son Philip Griffiths as he shares a shot with mother Marcella Dacosta.

A smile of Christmas hope beams from Ms Dacosta as she poses with her cheque
KFC and Pepsi representatives share a proud moment with the winning household.
