638 new COVID cases, 4 more deaths
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica recorded 638 new cases of COVID-19 and four additional deaths yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 33,366 and the death toll to 511.
According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness, a 52-year-old woman from St James as well as a 74-year-old man and two women, ages 68 and 95, all from St Elizabeth, were the latest deaths.
Of the 638 new cases, there were 357 females and 281 males with ages ranging from six months to 96 years.
The cases were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew (246), St Catherine (177), St Thomas (42), St James (39), Westmoreland (30), Manchester (22), Clarendon (17), St Ann (16), St Mary (14), St Elizabeth, Portland (13 each), Hanover (six), and Trelawny (three).
The country also recorded 142 recoveries, bringing the total recovered cases to 15,615.
