Accused in Clarendon shooting arrested in police operation
MAY PEN, Clarendon — Detectives assigned to the Clarendon Police Division have arrested and charged a man in connection with a shooting incident that took place in May Pen, Clarendon earlier this year.
He is 32-year-old Ricordo McKenzie otherwise called ‘Indian’ or ‘Ricky,’ of Paisley Avenue, May Pen Clarendon has been charged with wounding with intent.
Reports are that at approximately 12:45 am January 1, the complainant and the accused had a dispute, during which McKenzie left the location.
It is alleged that he later returned with a firearm and fired several shots at the complainant, hitting her in the chest. She was taken to the hospital where she was admitted.
McKenzie was arrested during a police operation on Thursday, June 3.
His court date is being finalised.
