Jamaica has 61 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Jamaica recorded 61 new COVID-19 cases and two additional deaths yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 49,668 and the death toll to 1,033.
According to the Ministry of the Health and Wellness, the two deaths are a 54-year-old woman from Kingston and St Andrew and a 77-year-old man from St Ann.
Of the 61 newly reported cases there were 33 females and 28 males with ages ranging from two to 86 years.
The cases were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew (18), St Catherine (10), St Ann (eight), Westmoreland (six), St Elizabeth, St Mary (five each), St Thomas, Clarendon (three each), St James (two), and Manchester (one).
The country also recorded 155 new recoveries bringing the total number of recoveries to 28,620.
