Police find loaded gun in Orange Bay, Hanover

HANOVER, Jamaica — The police seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition during an operation on the Orange Bay main road in Hanover on Sunday.

Reports from the Green Island police are that about 7:55 am, officers searched a premises in the area when one AK-47 assault rifle was found fitted with a magazine containing three 7.62 rounds.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Investigations continue.
