QQ, ‘twins’ in Triple Touch

Local TikTok sensations Annatasia and Tannatasia Mills, collectively known as the T&A Twins, have hit a newer height of success after collaborating with dancehall artiste QQ on his latest project titled Triple Touch, which has an accompanying dance.

The 18-year-old duo are responsible for conceptualising the name of it, and are looking forward to continued favourable feedback.

“I hope that the song and the dance go viral, and people start doing it and singing the song. I hope it sells right out,” Tannatasia told the Jamaica Observer.

“It’s unique, the riddim and the song and everything is just a whole vibe,” she added.

Produced by DJ Sunshine/ Yellow Moon Records, Triple Touch premiered on April 25. However, the dance was created weeks before the official release and was already making rounds on Instagram and TikTok. It involves touching the head, shoulder, waistline then rotating the hips.

The Spanish Town High School past students are currently attending Distinction College studying to become pharmacy technicians.

They boast almost 69,000 followers on TikTok, and are renowned for posting various dance videos.

According to Annatasia, their personalities and creativity is what makes them standout on the application which has over one billion users.

“Well, you know we are twins, and people really like twins, and our dancing talent — it’s very unique,” she said.

Her sister joined in by adding: “We’re very neat. We make sure we do everything the same. We dress the same, we dance the same and if we nuh organise, we aguh vex wid each other and mek sure seh it organise. So, I feel like that’s what attract people the most.”

Before this, they created another dance formally known as Guh Cross.

The twins, who admire Dancing Rebel, are pleased with being given the honour to name the dance created by QQ, who has been an artiste for almost two decades.

Meanwhile, QQ told the Observer that collaborating with the twin was his way of contributing to their career development.

“It was only natural for them to name it because they’re the TikTok twins; T&A Twins …they’re like the biggest twins out of Jamaica. They’re phenomenal dancers. Like, they’re so great at what they do, and I thought, how best can I be able to execute and allow them to flourish. I just said, ‘Hey, a fi unuh ting dis’ and they said ‘Triple Touch’ and I said da name deh bad,” he said.

“It’s been good so far…persons are very enthused about it. Summertime is coming up, I’m hoping this is the dance everybody will be doing for the summer. Triple Touch…it’s sexy, it’s cute, the thugs dem can do it, the girls dem can do it. It’s a vibe — something that bring man and woman together again and the twins have mastered it and showed why a dem a the real Gs,” he added.
