The preliminary phase of the inaugural Dream 11 Jamaica T10 Blast cricket competition closes out on Tuesday with the finalists already confirmed after Monday’s penultimate round of games.

Surrey Kings, who lead the six-team table with 19 points from nine games, and second-placed Surrey Royals, who are a point behind, are to contest the final at Sabina Park on Thursday.

Wednesday’s match-ups for the third- and fifth-placed finishers will be decided after final-round action today.

On Monday, the Kings beat fifth-placed Cornwall Warriors (12 points from nine games) by 23 runs in the opening encounter of the double-header at Sabina Park.

Batting first, the Kings made 102-6 as Kennar Lewis plundered 38 from 18 deliveries. The Warriors could only reply with 79-2 as Ockeeno Farquharson made 31.

In the second game of the double-header at the venue, last-placed Surrey Risers (nine points from 10 games) lost to third-placed Middlesex Titans (13 points from 10 games) by four wickets.

Scores: Risers 73-6 (10 overs); Titans 74-6 (9.4 overs)

On Sunday, Middlesex Titans defeated fourth-placed Middlesex United Stars (12 points from nine games) by eight wickets in the day’s opening game.

Anthony Walters hit an unbeaten 36 as the United Stars made 91-4 from their allotted 10 overs after they were asked to take first strike.

But Wayne Davis struck 47 to lift the Titans to victory at 92-2 with a ball to spare.

In Sunday’s second game, Surrey Royals had a big 55-run win over Surrey Risers.

Batting first, the Royals made an imposing 139-4 from their allotted 10 overs after Javelle Glenn and Nkrumah Bonner powered half centuries.

Glenn smashed an unbeaten 70 from only 26 deliveries, while Bonner was dismissed for a 26-ball 53.

The Risers pacer Christopher Powell had 2-20.

In reply, the Risers struggled to find momentum and were restricted to 84-5 as Khari Campbell claimed 4-6 from two overs.

In the first game of the double header on Saturday, Middlesex Titans lost to Surrey Royals by seven wickets.

Scores: Titans 101-7 (10 overs); Royals 107-3 (8.3 overs)

In the afternoon encounter, Surrey Risers beat Surrey Kings by six wickets.

Scores: Kings 96-7 (10 overs); Risers 97-4 (9.3 overs)

In the opening game on Friday, Middlesex United Stars got the better of Surrey Risers by 19 runs under the Duckworth and Lewis method.

Scores: Risers 72-6 (10 overs); United Stars 71-1 (7.3 overs — D&L method)

Later that day, Cornwall Warriors edged out Middlesex Titans by six wickets.

In the early game at Sabina Park on Thursday, West Indies Test opener John Campbell hit a 35-ball 69 not out as Middlesex United Stars hammered Cornwall Warriors by 48 runs.

Scores: United Stars 120-3 (10 overs); Warriors 72-8 (10 overs)

In the afternoon clash, Surrey Royals defeated Surrey Kings by eight wickets.
