iOS 16 adds more to mail
With iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, Apple has added several improvements to the Mail app to align with competing e-mail apps. The Mail app includes search updates, an undo send option, tools for getting reminders about e-mails you need to follow up on, and more.
Search in the Mail app offers a broader range of suggestions. More relevant e-mail messages come up, and Apple also says that search corrects typos and uses synonyms for search terms. After you send an e-mail in iOS 16 or iPadOS 16, you have 10 seconds to unsend the e-mail if you make a mistake.
Apple has added a “Follow Up” feature designed to move sent e-mail messages to the top of your inbox so you can send a follow-up if you don’t hear back from the person you sent the e-mail to.
