Up-and-coming singjay Kera Bling is beaming, having collaborated with Jahvillani for her latest track Yaadman.

“He’s a very sweet and talented artiste, super respectful. It wasn’t the smoothest process in relation to his management but the artiste himself, I would say is humble and a cool guy,” she told the Jamaica Observer.

“I wrote the song and I wanted a dope feature. I instantly thought Jahvillani was a great fit because the content of the song is basically what he represents — the badman persona, he’s popular and, of course, the love for Clark’s shoes. I reached out to his team and we took it from there,” she added.

Released on June 17, the track was produced by the entertainer alongside Berisdon.

Kera Bling, whose given name is Shakerea Whitmore, says the song is an ode to Jamaican men.

“The song is about my love for Jamaican men and how I am ready to risk it all for them. I have no interest in any other nationality; even if it gets to a point where I have to share that Jamaican man, I will,” she continued.

Based in New York since 2015, some of her past releases include Eating Good, Shook, Bipolar and Independent Gyal.

Since the release of her latest number, Kera Bling says she is extremely pleased with the attention it has been getting from supporters.

“I’m very pleased. Slow progress is better than no progress. I had a lot of help from Jahvillani’s camp members for a while and the artiste himself. I believe in the song, it’s upbeat with great energy. I’m confident it will get to the right ears soon,” she explained.

Despite being based in the US, the entertainer says she manages to stay connected to her local fans through social media.

“Mostly through my Instagram and Facebook handles, but I intend to interact more and be more involved like going live and having one on one with my supporters,” she said.
