SO2 – ‘Skye’fall

First…

SO spotlights our fave The Real Housewives of Dubai star Lesa Milan-Hall‘s recent Rock-fab getaway. The Jamaican-born reality TV star and fashion designer jetted to the island for some well deserved R&R. Her stay included her hitting the Kingston streets with the Xodus Carnival band, then retreating to Ochi and Portie for a little bit of adventure with hubby, Richard Hall, and their three sons, Kristian, Maximillian and Sebastian.

Next…

Guess who else was spotted in Jamaica? R&B singer and granddaugter to United States Ambassador to Jamaica Nick Perry, Justine Skye. The songbird signalled her presence on The Rock with photos of her taking a dip in the turquoise waters lapping Pristine Cove, though we imagine she did lots more during her stay at the Rockhouse Hotel, Negril.

Then…

Saint International model Wayne Booth appears in new editorials for Grazia US and InStyle Mexico magazines. The New York-based star was lensed by iconic German photog Ellen von Unwerth for the Grazia US ‘Night Moves’ editorial, while Lala Serrano was behind the lens for InStyle‘s ‘The Space Between Us’. The Grazia US feature appears in the mag’s July 2022 issue.

In more Saint news, Paris-based model Tomiwa fronts the MyTheresa x Chloé collaboration. The exclusive collection of tie-dye designs and artfully crafted accessories sees Chloé Creative Director Gabriela Hearst using a traditional Japanese Shibori dye method to create unique patterns.

The Nigerian model is also front and centre for the Gucci G-Timeless global ad campaign. Inspired by 1960s fashion portraits, the campaign brings the house’s G-Timeless timepiece line to the fore, with a focus on the steel-case design which features a yellow gold or silver silver-brushed dial, with 15 bees.

Jamaican model Reece Nelson turns up the heat for European fashion publication Dust Magazine’s Issue 21 Fall/Winter 2022, in a series of looks from the adidas x Gucci collection. For the spread, Nelson is lensed by Jack Henry, and styled by Paris-based celebrity stylist Edem Dossou.

American rapper Quavo wears Bianca Saunders for GQ magazine’s July 2022 issue.

The rapper donned the label’s Marv Green Leather Jacket and Leather Macho Trousers with a pair of boots from Ernest W Baker for an editorial, titled ‘Quavo’s Unfinished Business’. The pieces were a part of Saunders’ Autumn/Winter 2022 collection, dubbed ‘A Stretch’.

Born and based in London, the Rock-blooded fashion designer launched her eponymous label in 2017, following her graduation from the Royal College of Art. Since its inception, the brand has experienced an exciting period of growth following international recognition. Saunders was selected by the British Fashion Council as ‘One To Watch’ in 2018 and won the 32nd Andam Grand Prix Fashion Award in 2021.

There’s More…

It’s officially a #SammyB summer! On Wednesday evening, Rock-blooded fashion designer Samantha Black and Appleton Estate USA shut down New York City hotspot Omar’s Kitchen & Rum Bar for the Sammy B Summer Soiree. The promise of Appleton cocktails and fabulous fare prepared by chef Omar Walters was enough to lure Black’s friends, fellow fashion designers, bloggers and social media influencers to the popular eatery for an evening ‘shot’ full of fun. During the proceedings, Black announced her second collection with American luxury department store chain Nordstrom.

Finally…

Founder of the Island Grill chain Thalia Lyn has been named Patron for Plié’s Gala, Amalgamation scheduled to take place at the Little Theatre on August 9 and 10.
