Two St Ann men face multiple charges after kidnapping 8-month-old baby

ST ANN, Jamaica— Two men have been arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm, burglary, unlawful wounding and assault at common law, after breaking into a house at Mansfield Heights in Ocho Rios, St Ann on Friday, July 22, and taking an eight-month-old child.

Charged are 21-year-old Kevin Lions, a labourer of Buckfield, St Ann, and 21-year-old Nickel Grandison, of Tule Street in Mansfield Heights.

Reports are that about 11:00 pm, three armed men broke into the home of a woman and left with the baby after stabbing the complainant’s son in the side.

Grandison and Lions were later arrested and charged on Sunday, July 24.
