Wolmer’s defeat Camperdown 2-0 in Manning Cup opener
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Wolmer’s Boys’ School blanked Camperdown High 2-0 at home in Group E of the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup opener on Tuesday.
Wolmer’s Boys’ opened the scoring with an early first half goal, courtesy of Jahmani Bell, with a header. The goal was assisted by Nathaniel Brooks.
After a tussle between Wolmer’s Boys’, Ronaldo Thompson and Camperdown’s captain, Devante McCrea, both players were given a red card and sent off the field in the first half.
In the second half, it was a good solo effort as Dantè Dacres beat Camperdown’s goalkeeper, Howain Jones, to give the boys from Heroes Circle a two goal advantage and a guaranteed three points.
