Three killed in alleged Trelawny confrontation with security forces
TRELAWNY, Jamaica – At least three individuals were fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with members of the security forces at Hague Settlement in Trelawny, sometime between Friday night and early this morning.
It is also reported that a member of the Jamaica Defence Force was shot and injured during the incident.
Several members of the community have since been taken into custody for questioning.
The Independent Commission of Investigation (INDECOM) has commenced a probe into the incident.
