Design Trends Conversation @ Ashley Furniture HomeStore

Trends are a large part of design; they help with informing what is hot and “of the moment”. Trends are, by nature, fleeting. So Ashley Furniture HomeStore (AFHS) hosted an evening to talk trends in furniture at its Liguanea branch last Friday as part of the Jamaica Observer’s Design Week 2022.

Ashley Furniture HomeStore International, being one of the world’s largest, and premiere manufacturers of furniture, heavily influences these design trends, and created a video highlighting what lifestyles and themes are currently of the moment.

The conversation was facilitated by Angelie Martin-Spencer, the company’s long-time in-house design ambassador, along with architect and interior designer Mala Morrison, and wood manipulater and designer Tamara Harding of Mara Made Designs.

The panellists discussed the best ways to incorporate trends into the home, achieving lasting looks that can be lived with for a long time.

Guests enjoyed refreshments courtesy of Jacqui Tyson with wine selections from Select Brands and delighted in the many opportunities afforded to walk away with great prizes.
