Sagicor Bank and PriceSmart Jamaica on Friday officially launched their joint product — the Sagicor Bank PriceSmart Visa Gold Credit Card.
The card, which was introduced to the market this summer, will allow consumers to earn 4 per cent cash-back when they use the card to make purchases at PriceSmart, and 1 per cent when used elsewhere.
Speaking at the launch event at PriceSmart’s Portmore Club on Friday, Sagicor Bank CEO Chorvelle Johnson Cunningham said the card was conceptualised from a shared vision between both entities to offset costs for their shared clients amid the rising costs of goods globally.
Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce Aubyn Hill was the guest speaker at the launch, and he described the move as a ‘welcome trend’ in the commercial space.
