Investigations launched into discovery of foetus at local hospital

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) says it has received reports about the discovery of a foetus in the sewer at the Kingston Public Hospital.

The Ministry in a statement on Thursday said according to preliminary information received, the foetus was discovered by a man cleaning the sewer underneath the basement of the hospital. The matter has been

reported to the police and investigations are now underway.

The MOHW also stated that the public will be updated on the progress of those investigations, and anyone seeking further information, should contact the South East Regional Health Authority.
