Teen girl among four people charged after illegal gun seized in St Catherine
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A 17-year-old girl is among four people charged following the seizure of an illegal firearm in the St Catherine North Division.
The other suspects are Sean Wallace, 41-year-old, Bernard Whittle, 49-year-old, a carpenter, Zandae Whittle, 19-year-old, a welder, and a 17-year-old girl.
All four, according to the police, are from Gulf Lane, Gordon Pen, Spanish Town.
Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that about 4:00 am, on Sunday, November 20, a joint police-military team conducted an operation in Gulf Lane, Spanish Town. During the search of a
premises, one Smith and Wesson 9-millimetre pistol and thirty-seven 9-millimetre rounds of ammunition were found.
The occupants of the house, the three men and the teenage girl, were arrested and charged.
Their court dates are being finalised.
