ST ANN, Jamaica— There are no new leads in the murder of an American investor in Ocho Rios, St Ann, who was shot dead on Monday.

Investigators had been reviewing CCTV footage in a bid to identify the killers. However, head of the St Ann Police Division, Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell, told OBSERVER ONLINE that although investigators are thoroughly examining the clues they have not identified the suspects.

“We have no new leads,” SSP Powell said.

The victim, 53-year-old Phillip Bradley Crain, was a real estate investor of Villa Baraby, Shaw Park, in the parish, and is believed to be a major player in the local cannabis sector.

Investigators say, about 4:30 pm on Monday, Crain was at home when two armed men entered and demanded money. When their demands were not met, the men opened fire on Crain, killing him on the spot. He had recently returned to the island from a trip to the US.

His wife and son were not harmed.

Crain has been living in Jamaica for the last 25 years.
