Coopers Pen start defence of Trelawny KO title
COOPERS PEN, Trelawny – Coopers Pen, the most recent winners of the Trelawny Football Association’s MP Tova Hamilton Knock-out, will start the defence of their title when they take on Jackson Town FC in the quarter-final game set for the Coopers Pen playfield at 3:00 pm on Saturday.
Coopers Pen beat Duanvale United 2-1 in the final of the 2019-20 competition played at Bounty Hall in the parish and will hope to book a semi-final spot today.
In another game today, Harmony FC will take on Kinloss FC at Bounty Hall for a place in the semi-finals set for Saturday, January 21st.
On Thursday, Holland United booked a spot in the quarter-final after beating Salt Marsh United 2-0 in their game played at William Knibb Memorial High in Martha Brae.
Cristojaye Daley scored both goals for Holland United, netting in the 18th and 69th minutes for Holland United to advance to Sunday’s quarterfinal game against Falmouth United at Elleston Wakeland Centre.
The other game that was scheduled for Thursday was not played as Spicy Hill “showed up without proper gear” for their game against Duncans United, according to a release from the Trelawny FA.
