‘Spin the Bottle’ party was a hit
‘SPIN the Bottle’ pajama party held at Sunset Avenue in Cherry Gardens, St Andrew, was the place event to be on Christmas Eve.
From as early as 7:30 pm, patrons — dressed in their finest bedwear — began pouring into the venue for the party’s 9:00 pm start. Female guests stuck to the dress code by wearing their sexy sleepwear outfits and danced away the evening to the musical selections from DJ Mayhem.
“We had a Halloween and an after-COVID party and both went well so [we] decided to make it a duty to throw more parties here from time to time. As you can see, it’s an attractive venue — people have been saying we have a villa in the middle of Cherry Gardens. It looks really Jamaican with a lot of greenery and wood. Hats off to Kahalil Shirley for coming up with this brilliant idea to for us to host a pajama party,” David Minott, owner of the property, told the Jamaica Observer.
One of the event promoters, Greg Smith, explained that he was pleased with the execution of the event, however there were areas that could be improved.
“We were pleased with many aspects of the event. Notably was how well DJ Mayhem juggled to keep everyone entertained but admittedly, we would have preferred a few more guests to party with us. We promise to improve and, therefore, we expect more persons to come out to our next staging. As a promotion team it’s always our desire to provide ‘alternate entertainment’ and break the monotony that currently exists within the space. We brought down Cedric the Entertainer earlier in the year and we continue with our ‘Gin ‘n’ Juice’ series of 90s event so Spin the Bottle is just our latest presentation to our patrons and friends that offers something different,” said Smith.
He shared his highlight of the event.
“My highlight was the ambience of the venue and the various lingerie worn by some super sexy ladies who attended, with one purple ‘Teddy’ standing out,” he said.
Smith said he and his team are planning on making it an annual event.
“Yes. By popular demand we’ll be hosting this event again as the feedback has been very positive. Anyone that missed the event I would say to them, ‘Make sure not to miss the next one’, as most persons stuck to the pajama theme, which made the event colourful and fun,” he added.
