The Tryall Club played host to a staged reading of award-winning and internationally acclaimed Jamaican playwright Debra Ehrhardt’s latest production Look What Fell Out De Mango Tree. The reading, which took place on Sunday, January 15, was acted out by the playwright herself and fellow actor Christopher Grossett.

Ehrhardt, in detailing her motivation for penning the script, explained that our stories must be told for us to not only learn but also to inspire and uplift, allowing us to feel less alone and more connected to each other.

“My father shared a personal story with me as an adult that unlocked my ability to forgive and transform my relationships with men.

Look What Fell Out De Mango Tree is an important story that shows the importance of forgiveness and the power of vulnerability,” Ehrhardt added.

Guests were treated to a wine tasting ahead of the play, providing an opportunity for villa owners and their guests to connect as part of Members’ Week 2023 activities at the luxe property.
