Valentine’s at Brew’d gets thumbs up
VALENTINE’S at Brew’d lived up to its billing by providing a superb evening of entertainment and a scrumptious menu.
The event was held at Brew’d Awakening, located at 130 Old Hope Road in St Andrew, on Saturday, February 11, and attracted a large number of patrons, comprising of tertiary tourists, students, and young professionals.
Selector Krazy Kris served up a delicious brew of some of the latest hip hop, R&B, and dancehall hits that had patrons dancing up a storm. These songs included R Kelly and Usher’s Same Girl, Mariah Carey’s Save The Day, and Jah Vinci’s Virgin.
Jermaine Harvey, one of the event’s promoters, gave the occasion thumbs up.
“The turnout was great. We will always be pleased with the turnout because you know that we are a young brand building and I’m grateful for the progress we have made since our inception. Compared to the first staging held last year, we had a greater turnout,” he said.
“The ambience and the vibe is what keeps patrons coming back and it’s that kind of event that is not centred around a certain genre of music. We give everybody a little of everything. The event is also not centred around a certain age group; that is not the vibe that we are pushing,” Harvey continued.
He explained that Brew’d Awkening events caters to the females.
“We will always attend to the females. We always ensure that our ladies eat, drink and vibe at our event. When the women are happy we are happy. We are not looking to host an event that has 1,000 men and has 50 women. Noteworthy is that women supported the event in their numbers. There was even some who came to support the event from United States, England, and neighbouring countries in the Caribbean,” he said.
