Path benefits restored
Dear Claudienne,
I live in Clarendon. I was a PATH beneficiary until I was cut off from the programme all of a sudden. I am almost blind and a kind neighbour has been assisting me to collect the PATH payments.
A justice of the peace (JP) gave my neighbour a letter that enabled her to go to the post office to collect the PATH money. On one occasion when my neigbour went to the post office to collect the payment, the post mistress told her to go to the May Pen office of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to find out why the payments had been stopped.
She went to the office in May Pen twice. When she went to the ministry’s office the first time they told her that they had heard that I had died. On the second occasion they told my neighbour that someone from PATH would come to my home.
A man and a woman from the PATH office visited me in 2022 and promised that the payments would resume in November. However, it is now December and I am still not getting the benefit.
I would appreciate your help.
HH
Dear HH
Tell Claudienne has been in communication with the administrators of the PATH Programme and notes that an officer visited your house and did an interview in December. PATH has advised Tell Claudienne that your payments will resume in March 2023.
We wish you all the best.
