BEAM shines bright on Billboard
RAPPER and producer BEAM, son of gospel deejay Papa San, earns his third entry on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
BEAM is featured on Hydrate and Selecta, both credited to producer/DJ Skrillex. Hydrate debuts at number 26 while Selecta enters at 39.
BEAM’s previous entry was 2019’s Mumbai Power, which also features Skrillex. That track peaked at number 41.
Hydrate appears on Skrillex’s album Quest for Fire while Selecta appears on another Skrillex album, Don’t Get Too Close.
Still on the Billboard charts, Popcaan’s We Caa Done, featuring Canadian rapper Drake, remains at number 40. The track peaked at number 37 and spends its 4th week on the tally.
On the Billboard Reggae Albums chart Bob Marley and the Wailers clock 163 non-consecutive weeks in the number one spot with Legend. Shaggy’s Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection holds at number two while Sean Paul’s gold-certified hits collection Dutty Classics Collection is steady at three.
Stick Figure posts back-to-back entries as Wisdom and World on Fire are four and five, respectively, while UB40’s Greatest Hits by UB40 dips to six.
Stick Figure’s Set in Stone inches up to number seven while Great is He by Popcaan backtracks to eight.
Gifted by Koffee re-enters at nine, and Burna Boy’s Outside dips to 10.
On the South Florida Reggae chart, veteran singer JC Lodge takes over the number one spot with Love Uprising, while Sometimes When We Touch by King Banton jumps from eight to five.
Not Today by Tanya Stephens bolts from 12 to nine while Just Say Yes by Terry Linen steps up from 15 to 11. New entries are No Ease Up by Suzanne Sultry (number 23), Don’t Let Me Go by Etana (number 24), and I Know Your Story by G Cole (number 25).
On the New York Reggae chart, La La by Worl-A-Girl remains in the number one position while Young Gyal Business (remix) by Chaka Demus and Pliers with Renner moves up from 14 to 10. Mood by Shaggy featuring KES rises from 16 to 12.
Robert Ffrench’s Black is a Colour (number 28), Beautiful Woman by Glen Washington (number 29), and King Kong’s The Herb (number 30) are this week’s new entries.
On the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart, In the Streets by 2022 JUNO winner for Reggae Recording of the Year, teenager Kairo McLean, is still the number one song.
Hot 104.1 FM in the Cayman Islands is reporting that its number one most requested song for the week is Hard Fete by Bunji Garlin.
