2023 Wedding Gift Trends

The institution of marriage has certainly evolved over the years, and so have wedding traditions. Weddings are no longer bound by strict rules and conventions, and this extends to wedding gifts as well. Today’s couple values experiences, sustainability, and personalisation when it comes to their wedding gifts.

So if you’ve got a few weddings coming up and are wondering what to give, here are some of the top wedding gift trends for 2023. Experiences over things: Many modern couples prioritise experiences over material possessions. Consider gifting them an experience they can enjoy together, such as a contribution towards their honeymoon, a cooking class, a wine-tasting tour, or even an excursion. These types of gifts create lasting memories and allow the couple to bond and create shared experiences, which can be more meaningful than traditional ones. Trips that explore different destinations locally and internationally are always great. You may also want to consider contributing towards a new home, especially if you are a relative of the couple. There are many different wedding gift trends to choose from in 2023. Ultimately, the most important thing is to show your love and support for the couple as they embark on their journey together, and a thoughtful and unique gift can do just that. Happy gifting!

Sustainable gifts

Sustainability is a growing trend in many aspects of life, and weddings are no exception in light of increasing awareness about the environment. Consider gifts that are sustainable and eco-friendly and that align with the values of the couple, like reusable stainless steel water bottles, organic bedding, or eco-friendly home goods. Plus, gifts made from recycled materials or products that support a charitable cause or a local artisan.

Personalised gifts

Consider personalised items such as custom-made jewellery, monogrammed towels or bedding, a commissioned artwork or a custom-designed wedding album

High-tech gifts

Technology-driven gifts are always a win in today’s digital age; many modern couples are tech-savvy and appreciate gifts that enhance their daily lives. Consider gifting them a smart home device, a high-quality Bluetooth speaker, or a stylish wireless charger.

Wellness gifts

Self-care and wellness are top of mind in 2023, so why not help the newly- weds’ journey with a few wellness gifts? Consider getting them membership to a yoga studio, a meditation app subscription, or a set of essential oils for aromatherapy. These gifts will encourage the couple to take care of themselves and each other.

Luxurious gifts

For those looking to splurge on a luxurious gift, there are plenty of options. High-quality cookware, art pieces, a set of Egyptian cotton sheets or fine leather goods or a luggage set are all gifts that will make the couple feel spoiled.

Cash or gift cards

Cash or gift cards are versatile and practical gifts that afford flexibility to choose what they need or want, whether it’s for their honeymoon, home renovations, or personal expenses. Cash or gift cards can also be pooled with gifts from other guests to help the couple save up for a larger purchase or experience.
