KSAMC stun Top View in Corporate Area domino league
Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) produced a stunning display of domino mastery to upset Top View Liquor and Variety Store 119–116 in their Group C encounter in the inaugural 2023 Winners Corporate Domino League at Church Street, downtown Kingston on Wednesday.
What was expected to be a win for Top View Liquor and Variety Store didn’t materialise as KSAMC turned up with a game plan and matched point for point with their opponents throughout the entire first half of the game.
After losing on tables one and four by 11-16 and 13-20, respectively, KSMAC made up lost ground on tables two and three, winning by 18-12 and 17-11 to tie the score at 59-59 at the break.
Changes were expected to be made in the second half in trying to break the deadlock and get an advantage, but both teams were successful in their changes as the tight battle continued.
Top View Liquor and Variety Store reaped huge success on table two, which they won 20-8, and edged KSMAC 14-13 on table three. KSMAC countered on table one with a score of 17-8 and on table two with a score of 22-15 to win the game by three points at the end.
In other games, Correctional Services beat H2OURS Purified Water by 150-105 at the Spanish Town Prison Oval, and Mytix Sports Bar and Lounge got the better of the Register General’s Department by 125-92 at their home base on Hagley Park Road in Group B action.
