Promoting peace for 14 years
The 14th annual Easter Peace Championship football competition in the St Andrew Southern constituency was not short on excitement and displays of excellent skill.
Thirty-one teams from a number of communities in the constituency participated in the competition held on Good Friday and which was preceded by a tour involving church groups, residents, and the police a day before.
The Penso Street team emerged winners to take the Dr Omar Davies trophy after beating the Paisley Road team 2-0 on penalties.
The event was staged by the Craig Town Foundation and Member of Parliament Mark Golding. Food vendors, in particular, benefited from brisk sales.
