St Elizabeth man charged with housebreaking, larceny

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica— A chef has been charged after allegedly breaking into a home and stealing several items in Crane Road, Black River in St Elizabeth on March 20, 2023.

Charged with housebreaking and larceny is 20-year-old Darren Franklyn otherwise called ‘Franco’ of a Crane River address in the parish.

Reports from the Black River Police are that about 12:30 pm, the complainant, after having securely locked up his home before leaving, was informed that men were breaking into the house. Upon his return, Franklyn and another man were seen removing several items from the premises. The police were summoned and an investigation launched.

Franklyn was arrested and charged on Monday, May 8. His court date is being finalised.
