John Rollins Success secure quarter-final spot in Uplift U-13 football
TUCKER, St James — John Rollins Success Primary booked their place in the quarter-finals of the St James Football Association Victoria Mutual Foundation Uplift Under-13 competition after beating Buckingham Primary 4-0 in their Zone D game at Wespow Park on Tuesday.
Kevin O’Gilvie scored a hat-trick to lead John Rollins Success to their fourth-straight win and joined Barracks Road Primary as the first qualifiers.
O’Gilvie, who took over the lead in the goal scoring race with eight goals, scored in the eighth, 42nd and 44th minutes for John Rollins Success with Jevone Jones also scoring in the 30th.
Catherine Hall moved to within a point of booking their spot as well after beating Farm Primary 2-0 and are second in Zone D to John Rollins Success Primary.
Ajani Stephens scored in the 20th minute and Mario Simms in the 47th minute.
On Wednesday, Barracks Road Primary could complete a perfect first round when they take on Maldon Primary in the third game of a scheduled triple header.
Green Pond Primary can also advance to the quarter-finals with a point from their game against bottom-placed Adelphi Primary in the first game while Chetwood Primary and Albion Primary will meet in the other game.
