Dancehall fans in Connecticut look forward to the staging of Passion for Fashion each year. This year will be no different as the promoter, dancehall artiste Kirky D is gearing up to host one of the biggest dancehall events in the city.

“This will be the twelfth staging and it’s all about good food, good vibes and lots of entertainment,” said Kirky D.

Passion For Fashion is set for this Saturday, May 20, at the Elks Lodge in New Britain, Connecticut.

The event is the commemoration of his annual birthday celebrations and, according to Kirky D, special emphasis will be placed on execution.

“This is my year-to-year birthday celebration where people from all over come out to enjoy themselves. We are putting in place plans for this to be a memorable one for the patrons, so they should come out dressed to impress,” Kirky D disclosed.

On the entertainment side, sound systems and selectors including Lovers Choice, Outta Limit, Sky Level, Range Force, Rast and Dappa, and Hotlexx will provide the musical juggling.

Kirky D and former Magnum Queen of the Dancehall runner-up Kayla Di Diva are among those scheduled to perform.

Said Kirky D: “The support has been great over the years. The support has always been impressive, and the vast majority of patrons acknowledge the title of the event that’s why it is always outstanding.”

Kirky D, whose real name is Kirkland Falconer, is originally from Waterhouse in Kingston. He migrated to Connecticut and has kept his name in the spotlight promoting events and releasing music.

Among his better-known songs are Treat Her Right with Lukie D, Passion For Fashion and Badmind.

He recently released the song Real Moggla.
