It’s a tale of radicals where classic dance is married with the contemporary and avant-garde for an amalgamation that was simply stunning.
From dizzying twirls to agile assemblés, performers from seven different globally acclaimed dance companies shared the Little Theatre stage on Wednesday, July 12 for this year’s Plié Global Dance Festival Gala: Amalgamation.
The stellar two-day annual presentation — founded by executive producer and artistic director Marisa Benain in 2016 — was held this year under the theme ‘The Global Explosion of Dance’ in association with the US Embassy Kingston and under the patronage of American Ballet Theatre CEO and Executive Director Janet Rollé.
