Three teams target St James U-20 semi-finals
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Three teams will be chasing the two remaining semi-final spots in the St James Football Association’s Under-20 competition as the first round ends today with two games.
Granville United, Spot Valley High and Green Pond High will be seeking to join qualifiers Cornwall College and Cambridge United in the semis set to be played on Friday.
Cornwall College, who have completed their schedule and who topped the tables on eight points, face Spot Valley High today at Spot Valley.
Granville United, who are in third place on three points, need only a point in their game against Green Pond High on one point, to get into the last four.
Cambridge United, who had won the title last time the competition was held in 2019, are expected to beat Spot Valley and it will come down to who wins the game at Green Pond to decide the other qualifier.
Green Pond are on one point but a win would see them advance ahead of Granville United.
