Firearm, ammo found in shopping bag seized during St James military operation
ST JAMES, Jamaica— A silver HS 2000 9mm pistol with a magazine affixed containing three cartridges was found in a shopping bag and seized during a targeted rain in Marigold Crescent, Norwood, St James on Tuesday.
Reports are that between the hours of 11:00am and 2:00pm a joint military team carried out an operation in the community in search of a man known only as ‘Blacks’, who intelligence had suggested, was in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.
During the search of the premises along the fence line a black shopping bag was found. When lawmen unwrapped the shopping bag, the pistol and ammunition were found.
No arrest was made in relation to the find.
