East promises high-energy vibes
One of the most-anticipated parties with an authentic dancehall experience, East, returns this Saturday August 26.
Slated for the National Stadium, East has evolved since its first staging eight years ago.
Alessandro Boyd is a director of The East Team, promoters of the event.
“East was originally conceived in 2015 and it has catapulted the authentic dancehall experience to a completely different level. Top DJs, a secure venue, impeccable service, and exceptional entertainment are just a few of the essential elements that are used to define this cultural brand,” Boyd told the Jamaica Observer on Thursday.
He said that the event was designed out of the need for a truly authentic dancehall event that embodies a major part of our culture, where patrons can party without reservations in a safe space.
“Since our first staging, East has evolved as it pertains to size of the crowd, venue, patrons, sponsors, and most importantly the party experience,” Boyd shared, adding that this weekend’s staging will be filled with non-stop musical vibes and high energy.
Dubbed the Batty Ryda edition, this staging of East is specially aimed at the ladies.
“We have a wide array of surprises in store for the ladies,” said Boyd.
DJ Heavy D and JR from Chromatic, Di Unit with Badda Bling, DJ Wormy, and the A-Team are expected to deliver the musical adrenaline to keep patrons on a musical high.
“With the help of sponsors, such as Pepsi, CPJ and Double Seven, this will truly be an unforgettable experience for our beloved patrons,” said Boyd.
