Emmy Award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph attended the Project Angel Food’s 2023 Angel Awards on September 23 wearing the Bahar dress from Miami-based Colombian designer Silvia Tcherassi. Ralph was styled by her daughter Ivy Coco.

Ralph, a decades-long HIV/AIDS activist, was honoured with the organisation’s inaugural Sheryl Lee Ralph Legacy Award.

The event, which was held at Project Angel Food’s headquarters in Los Angeles, also toasted AIDS activist, artist and author Mary Fisher, and featured a performance by American singer-songwriter Jewel and a dinner prepared by LA based Italian restaurant Angelini Osteria.

To Note…

Ralph was also spotted at an inaugural ‘Icons Dinner’ curated by American actress Anne Hathaway and fashion maven Donatella Versace. The event celebrated change-makers across the creative industries and boasted a guest list which included celebs like Cindy Crawford, Teyana Taylor, Ariana DeBose, Rachel Brosnahan, Aaron Philip, Nicola Vassell, and Anna Weyant.

The event was held at New York City’s Rockefeller Centre last Wednesday evening.

ICYMI…

Fashion designer Junny Ann Hibbert continues to bask in the accolades from her time as 2023 James Weldon Johnson Foundation Fellow. The Jamaican-born, Harlem-based fashion designer, who helms fashion brand JUNNY, recently joined a few of the other fellows at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, Great Barrington, Massachusetts, for a day of charity.

And…

Hibbert was recently spotted across the pond for Vogue World: London.

SO spotlights some of Hibbert’s new designs, modelled by friend of the brand, model and artist Minami Ando, and lensed by TBO Harlem! Ty.
