Case of 15-y-o accused of beating BB Coke student transferred to Black River
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — The case file for a 15-year-old boy accused of last Thursday’s beating and assault on a younger student at the BB Coke High School in St Elizabeth has been moved from Santa Cruz to Black River.
The teen has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm in relation to the brutal beating of Jaheim Colman, 14.

Several relatives of the accused boy, along with his attorney Hopeton Marshall, turned up at the Santa Cruz Courthouse on Monday morning expecting the case to be mentioned there.
However, Marshall told journalists that he was informed minutes after 11 o’clock that the case was moved to Black River.
“I have just received news from the judge that the case will be heard in Black River instead of Santa Cruz. In that regard I will just have to make my way to Black River to see what is happening because that is where the case file is, I gather,” he told Observer Online.
