Gulfstream announcer left huge mark on Caymanas Park Sharpe
Soloman Sharpe, executive chairman of Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), expressed how well-known Gulfstream announcer Peter Aiello left an indelible mark on the racing industry following his recent appearance at Caymanas Park.
Renowned for his distinctive voice resonating through some of the most prestigious races in the United States, Aiello added a touch of prestige to the already illustrious venue, alongside Jamaica’s own Brian “Spuddy” Rickman.
“I think what he did was absolutely fantastic,” Sharpe remarked. “We in Jamaica feel that Brian Rickman is one of the best race callers in the world, so we wanted to pair him with arguably one of the best upcoming race callers in North America. It was well-received, and it went great,” he added.
“We believe that we have some of the most unique horse racing fans in the world — they are very appreciative, but also a very tough bunch. We wanted to show that Brian Rickman is one of the best in the world, and when paired with another upcoming talent, it went off great for us last Saturday,” Sharpe continued.
Aiello’s words brought the races to life, vividly describing the thundering hooves, determined jockeys, and fierce competition on the track. The energy in the air reached new heights as his voice added a layer of grandeur to the races. The impact of the famous announcer’s visit extended beyond the races themselves, generating renewed enthusiasm among racing fans and adding a timeless quality to the horse racing experience at Caymanas Park.
Sharpe emphasised that SVREL is committed to finding innovative ways to ensure the racing industry continues to grow and becomes more attractive to everyone. “It was an awesome day last Saturday, and we are going to continue to work hard to ensure that the fans get a full 360 fun-filled days at Caymanas Park,” he stated.
“We have brought some new energy to the space because I have a relatively young, energetic team. We are always working to look at global standards and explore different things to bring freshness to the product,” Sharpe concluded.
