SHANOY Anderson scored a first-half hat-trick and Kemar Reid had one in the second half as defending champions Reggae Youths ran roughshod over Montego Bay Boys Club, beating them 9-1 in their first-round St James Football Association/Sandals Resorts International Major League game played at Irwin High on Saturday.

It was back-to-back wins for Reggae Youths as they joined Cambridge United, who edged Lilliput Rovers 3-2 on Saturday, and Heights FC — all on six points.

The game between Green Pond SC and Wadada United FC was not played and will be rescheduled.

Despite picking up their first points since last season, albeit in the boardroom, Boys Club were no match for the rampaging Reggae Youths who were up 3-0 after just 14 minutes.

Anderson got Reggae Youths off to a fast start with a double in the first two minutes, before Sachin Wilmot made it 3-0 in the 14th minute ahead of Anderson completing his hat-trick in the 28 th minute.

Oliseh Haye scored in time added on at the end of the first half as Reggae Youths went into the half-time break leading 5-0.

Sebastian Robinson scored from the penalty spot in the 54th minute to make it 6-0 before Reid, who was a second-half substitute, started his show with goals in the 63rd, 67th, and 77th minutes, the last one being another penalty conversion.

Jamario Grant scored a consolation for Boys Club when he beat goalkeeper Tevin Gordon in the 83rd minute.

Cambridge United got some measure of revenge after losing to Lilliput Rovers twice last season, outscoring them 3-2 at Spot Valley High as Amari Reid of Lilliput scored for both teams in the game.

Davian McLean gave Cambridge United the lead in the 28th minute and Amaro Robinson doubled the advantage when he scored in the 37th minute as they led 2-0 at half-time.

Reid pulled a goal back for Lilliput in the 49th minute but gave it back as he scored an own goal in the 56th minute.

Junior Manning cut the deficit to a goal when he scored for Lilliput Rovers in the 64th minute.
