‘Tis the season for home décor sales

Christmas is around the corner and Jamaicans are looking to ‘spruce up’ their homes before unpacking the holiday decorations.

If you’re re-painting, redecorating or remodeling this season, this is the time for you as many local home décor providers are offering steep discounts this Black Friday weekend and continuing into the holidays.

Brand Manager at Hardware and Lumber (H&L), Donett Smith said this is the season her team looks forward to the most. According to her, H&L goes all out for consumers looking for the right deals to help enhance their spaces for the Christmas.

“At H&L Rapid True Value, this season our theme is, ‘Where Christmas Comes Together’ and what we’re saying is that our store is the ultimate destination for all things holiday. So whether you’re renovating, doing DIY projects, sprucing up your backyard gardens or looking for the perfect gift, we have something for you,” Smith told Observer Online.

H&L Rapid True Value store in Half Way Tree.

“We will be having sale on home accessories, building supplies, tiles, tools, bathroom fixtures and accessories, indoor furniture, outdoor furniture, paint, bedding, curtains and there is also offers from H&L Agro for all our garden lovers,” she continued. “There are also offers from Regency Blinds, so we have everything you’ll need to fix up your homes this season and at the best prices you could ask for.”

H&L’s Black Friday weekend sale will begin Friday, November 24, and 7:30am and run until Sunday, November 26. She said there will be doorbuster deals that are buy-one, get-one free on select paints, 20 to 60 per cent off houseware items, 15 per cent off toilet seats and covers, and 25 per cent off enclosures and shower glass among other deals. Ply boards, windows, doors, cement will also be on sale at H&L.

“We try to give our consumers the best every day of the year but we have to admit that Christmas is extra special and so the deals are even better than they’ve been all year because we know this is the time of year when Jamaicans like to put an extra emphasis on renovating and ‘fixing up’,” she said.

Khemlani Mart will also be having a super sale this season. In fact, the store, which sells furniture and home appliances, has been having deals all November in what it has dubbed its ‘Black November’ sale. Still, as the season for ‘fixing up’ draws near, Khemlani Mart will be looking to offer consumers better bargains starting this Black Friday.

FosRich main office located onMolynes Road in Kingston.

“We have been having our combo deals since the start of the month where customers can get some of their favourite appliances at a great group cost,” said Chantella Whyte, a representative for Khemlani Mart.

“And as we get closer to Black Friday, we have specials on all TVs, we have washers on sale, we have bar select stools on sale (buy one, get one 50 per cent off), we have bedroom sets and living room sets 50 per cent off (conditions apply), we have dining sets on sale as well,” Whyte added,

She shared that the deals are expected to continue up to the end of the year.

“We have new products coming in because we have goods coming in for the Christmas season, so of course, as the season approaches, deals will change, so stay tuned to our social media and our website for these bargains,” she said.

Lighting, electrical and solar energy products distributor FosRich Limited is also rolling out the red carpet for shoppers with its Christmas in November sale from November 20 to 30.

“Kingston, Mandeville and Montego Bay! Come get your wires, breakers, chandeliers, flood lamps, LED bulbs, standing fans and so much more,” the company said in a post on its social media channels.

Other home décor stores having sales this season include Ashley HomeStore, Tile City, Tools Hardware, Home and Things, Azan Supercentre and more.
