Emmy Award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph joined the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Finale as the retail store’s first celebrity and first black Mrs Claus! “The live parade had an audience of 3.5 million people on the parade route. one of the largest they’ve ever had,” shared an effusive Ralph with SO2.
The Abbott Elementary star in an interview with People magazine shared her delight. “I am so honoured to have been asked by Macy’s to be their first celebrity Mrs Claus for this year’s Thanksgiving Day parade… It’s such a festive and enjoyable role, bringing warmth and joy to the start of the holiday season. I get to spread love and embody the spirit of giving. The perfect role for me!”

Atop the snowy final float, Sheryl Lee Ralph — dressed in a festive green robe — waved and blew kisses to spectators, making history as the first black celebrity to appear as Mrs Claus at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.
