Two men held with US currency, credit cards in Montego Bay arrested
ST JAMES, Jamaica- Two men who were reportedly found in possession of United States credit cards and US$400 were arrested Thursday morning at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James by members of the Lottery Scam Task Force.
The men have been identified as 27-year-old Hywane Fuller of Haddington Kinloss, Trelawny and 32-year-old Odane Lawson, a lifeguard of Jungles, also in the parish.
Reports are that between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:00 am an operation was conducted at the airport where the two men were reportedly seen acting in a suspicious manner.
A police report stated that the men were observed withdrawing money at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), which dispenses US currency only.
The men were searched and were found with US credit cards bearing the names of people living overseas along with US$400 and ATM receipts showing the withdrawal.
They were arrested and charged for the offence of possession of an access device.
