Jahmiel set to drop new album in March

Reggae artiste Jahmiel is gearing to release a new album, the follow up to his critically-acclaimed sophomore project Legend, which will be released in March 2024.

“The theme of the album is inspirational, uplifting music. I wrote the songs and most of the songs were produced by German from Big Ship which are a mix of Afrobeats, reggae and dancehall. The tracks are a mix of romantic songs for the girls, and motivational songs,” Jahmiel said.

The album will feature collaborations with fellow artistes such as Govanna and Charly Blacks. International indie label Sweet Music Production is bankrolling the project and co-produced most of the songs.

The Strongest Soldier’s sophomore album Legend, released on April 15 via Sweet Music, featured heavyweight artistes like Masicka, Stonebwoy, Vershon, and Bugle, and generated a lot of streaming on online music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

“The songs, especially Legend, did very well, streaming millions of views on Spotify,” Jahmiel said.

The Story of My Life singer had previously debuted on the reggae chart with his first album, titled Great Man, which had spent one week at No 6, back in 2019.

In late December, Jahmeil wowed a crowd of almost 30,000 with a fiery performance at the Bhim concert in Accra, Ghana. A clip of him performing Better Tomorrow in front of an audience that sang the lyrics word for word was widely shared on social media.

He also rocked stage shows in Dominica, Trinidad and The Bahamas over the past month.

Some of his upcoming engagements include a European tour which is scheduled for summer 2024, the Sweet Music festival for May 2024 and the Nigeria Festival which is scheduled for Niger in June 2024.
