Trelawny man accused of threatening woman with gun, charged

TRELAWNY, Jamaica— The police have arrested and charged a man after he reportedly threatened a woman with a firearm in Duncans, Trelawny on Friday, December 29.

Charged with assault at common law and possession of prohibited weapon is 19-year-old Davion Lawrence of Redway Bottom in the parish.

Reports are that Lawrence brandished a firearm to the woman in a threatening manner. A report was made to the police and Lawrence later turned himself in to the police.

He was charged after a question and answer session. His court date is being finalised.
