His past relationships as well as his current one inspired the song Actor by singer BEARGXD.

BEARGXD is the 24-year-old son of gospel recording artiste Prodigal Son.

“Honestly, the song Actor was inspired by past relationships and also my present relationship. So technically I consider my ex to be an actor but now I’ve found love in a new chapter of my life,” BEARGXD disclosed.

Actor, a fusion of Afrobeats and dancehall, is scheduled for release early next month. The beat for the song was built by Dannyebtracks, while mixing and mastering was done by Franc White and Naj (prodbynaj).

BEARGXD, who presently resides in the United States, is a past student of the Munro College in St Elizabeth. He said his passion for music developed during his late teens.

“My personal passion for music came to me when I was 17, that was when I personally started liking music but other than that I grew up around music all my life. My dad is one of Jamaica’s top gospel artistes himself so it also stemmed from genetics,” said BEARGXD.

The singer, who has been doing music professionally for the past five years, says his musical journey has been somewhat rocky.

“It’s been very rocky because I was doing very well when I first started off in Jamaica but after moving to the states it kinda changed everything for me. I lost focus on making music for about two years, just lacking passion and motivation because of the challenges I was facing in America, but now the storm has calmed and I’m more motivated than ever before,” BEARGXD confided.
