Two people charged following seizure of imitation firearms
CLARENDON, Jamaica— Two people were arrested and charged after the search of a home in Reckford district, Kellits in Clarendon on Tuesday, January 9 resulted in the seizure of two imitation firearms.
Charged with possession of a prohibited weapon are 23-year-old Kinardo Crossfield, a farmer of Reckford District in the parish and a 17-year-old girl whose identity is being withheld.
Reports from the May Pen police are that about 7:00 am, a team of police armed with a search warrant conducted an intelligence- led operation at Crossfield’s home. A search of the bedroom was conducted where two imitation Glock 18 firearms were found in a dresser drawer.
Both suspects were subsequently arrested, and charged after a question and answer session.
Their court dates are being finalised.
