Black River tax office evacuated
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Workers and customers had to evacuate the Black River tax office in St Elizabeth on Wednesday morning.
A police source told Observer Online that the evacuation was due to “noxious fumes” at the location.
“Three people have been rushed to the hospital while others were coughing. One person has displayed rashes. Police and firefighters are on location,” the source said.
The tax office has been closed for the rest of the day as an investigation continues to determine the origin of the fumes.
