Clarendon man slapped with murder charge after altercation leaves 56-y-o dead
CLARENDON, Jamaica — A 31-year-old labourer of Santa Hill, Spaulding in Clarendon was charged with murder following an incident in his community on Tuesday, January 30.
He is Alex Tomlinson.
According to reports from the Mandeville police, Tomlinson and the deceased, 56-year-old Marshall King otherwise called ‘Buby’, got involved in an argument. The altercation reportedly turned physical. Tomlinson was reportedly armed with a shovel while King was armed with a knife. It is alleged that Tomlinson used the shovel to hit King several times before taking the knife and inflicting stab wounds to his upper body killing him.
Tomlinson was later arrested and charged.
He is scheduled to appear in the Manchester Parish Court on Wednesday, February 7.
